Introducing Francesca Gray…

After completing a music degree at Durham University and then enjoying a teaching career in an outstanding Special Needs school in Salford, Francesca Gray made a major decision to leave the
profession and pursue a future in dog grooming. The addition of a beautiful Samoyed puppy in 2010 instigated this major change, with Fran competing at many competitions, including Crufts, for several years.

“I love working within the dog world. As well as achieving my level 3 diploma in dog grooming. I have attended many other courses including Tellington TTouch, Hydrotherapy, Canine body language… to name but a few. I love working with double coated breeds. I get great satisfaction from salvaging a knotty and compacted double coat, with no need for clipping or putting the dog’s welfare at risk.

I’m keen to share my knowledge and continue my own professional development in this field, as well as maintaining excellent coat health for other breeds as well. I would also love to see an increased sharing of specialist knowledge between breeders/breed clubs show people and groomers in order to bridge the gap and give every dog breed their best chance to look and feel fantastic!

After working on the BBC prime time show ‘Pooch Perfect’ in 2020, Fran was introduced to Mutneys products. She now stocks Mutneys shampoos in her salon, DogzBody Spa.

Our most used products in the salon are: De-Shed Shampoo, Anti-Tangle Shampoo, Deep Clean and Furry Godmother Shampoo. We also love the Mutneys head nets that protect our eyes from blowing undercoat!
