Mutneys Launches Innovative De-Shedding Shampoo
Leading British pet care manufacturer Mutneys is launching its own unique de-shedding shampoo in response to demand from their customers across the UK.
The new shampoo which removes loose coat and reduces future shedding, has been trialled by Mutneys’ groomers over the last year with positive results and is now available to all customers.
Mutneys has developed the new De-shedding shampoo using aloe vera extract, which has natural conditioning properties. Tests in working salons have shown that the product reduces the amount of shedding as well as leaving the coat soft and manageable.
Mutneys director, Stephanie Roberts, said that the Mutneys team was delighted with the results from the new shampoo.
“Over the last year lots of groomers have been asking for a shampoo that helps with de-shedding. As Mutneys manufacture our own shampoo, we were able to develop this new product for our customers to add to the existing range of shampoos and conditioners we have been creating for nearly 25 years.
“Just like the rest of our range the new shampoo is vegan friendly, contains no dyes or bleaching agents and the ingredients meet Kennel Club and EU standards,” she said.
Mutneys De-shedding shampoo is suitable for all breeds. The special formulation with aloe vera helps remove loose coat and reduces future shedding by softening the coat and hair follicles. It has a sweet vanilla scent and an economical dilution rate of up to 10:1.
One salon which tested the new product was Our Companions of Telford; Hayley said that she had used the shampoo on two French bulldogs.
“They are regularly brushed, so I didn’t expect the amount of hair to come off them that did after the bath. So it worked really well.” she said.
Kelly at Doggie Delightz in Romford said both she and the owner of six-year-old American bulldog Rolo, had been pleased with the results from the new de-shedding shampoo.
“The amount of undercoat that came off was double the amount that normally comes off,” she said.
She spoke to Rolo’s owner for an update on how much coat he had shed at home the week after using the shampoo and was told that it seemed to have reduced all round.
“So I think it’s a thumbs up from Rolo,” said Kelly.
The de-shedding shampoo is the latest product in the range developed by Mutneys for professional dog groomers. All Mutneys shampoos and conditioners are made in the UK and are manufactured with natural ingredients with a pH balance of 5.5 – 6.0 to protect the dog’s own natural oils.
