Mutneys Professional Pet Care Ltd join the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to invest in their staff

Mutneys Professional Pet Care Ltd have joined the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce to continue their pledge to develop the skills of their employees.
The company, based in Prees, near Whitchurch, have been manufacturing and supplying professional dog grooming equipment to UK and international animal salons for nearly 25 years and have built a reputation for quality and service.
Founded in 1995, the company has grown from husband and wife team, Jamie and Stephanie Roberts to a thriving team of 11. Developing its employee’s is something that has always been at the core of the business, with Stephanie and Jamie keen to take on young people and apprentices from the local area, giving them the opportunity to learn new skills, whilst building hands on experience.
Stephanie Roberts, founder and director explained, ‘We’ve always felt that our staff should have all the opportunities they can to learn new skills and improve on old ones. It’s great for their futures and it’s great for our business. We have had some team members stay with us for 20 years, helping to keep the family feel as the company has grown.’
By joining the Shropshire Chamber of Commerce, the team is looking forward to taking advantage of the huge range of training courses available, allowing them to take the company to the next stage of its development including expanding its international sales and building new premises and manufacturing areas.
Jamie Roberts added, ‘We manufacturer many of our products in Shropshire and want to make sure that we do as much as possible to support other local businesses in the area. Through training and empowering our team, we hope to expand our business and do even more to help support the local economy’.
